Joseph Pilates has been nothing short of revolutionary in his impact on the world of fitness. His book “Return to Life Through Contrology” was published in 1945 as an at home workout guide. As he writes in his book; “RETURN TO LIFE fully explains how you can successfully achieve your worthy ambition to attain physical fitness right in your own home and at only nominal cost.” “These carefully designed exercises constitute the results of decades of scientific study, experimentation and research.” Now that we are all home, let’s take the time to understand his 34 exercises in more detail and depth.
In this 4 week program (2 sessions a week) Michael and Ton will go over the 34 mat exercises following Joe’s instruction as written in his book. They will discuss the goals and potential issues of each exercise and share some of their practical solutions and insights. Incorporating the latest research, anatomy and other modalities like Spiraldynamik© they will address the potential issues and explain why the work of Joseph Pilates created over 100 years ago still works. Ton & Michael will also cover some of the versions, build ups and modifications the Elders created.
